May, insprational month!

School Celebrates a series of different celebration dates

In Nicaragua the month of May starts with the celebration of the International Day of Labor (1) and ends with the celebration of Mother’s Day (30). It is the month when rains start, promising food for the families’ tables, the fields become green, the weather gets a little bit cooler.

As shared in the April newsletter, the School celebrated the International Book Day and Earth Day. However, these are not activities for just one day. Rather, they are a way to promote reading and to take care of environment, every day.

At the same time that classes and special activities take place, the School is making repairs to the roof so that rains do not affect students, staff and visitors. We are very grateful to those who contribute to this special project, especially parents and students.

International Book Day

Reading in School

As an educational center, we are committed to promote the pleasure of reading and especially, to form competent readers at the different levels. So, to celebrate the “International Book Day” we held a fair where the students could get acquainted with the different books that our modest bookstore offers, to encourage reading.

As teachers, staff and readers, we open the doors to a world where reading leads us to new forms, new ideas, new cultures and bring the opportunity to convert our students in avid readers for life, so they can build their own experiences.

This work will continue during the entire year where we involve the students in different activities, including book fairs open to the whole community, reading clubs and more practices to encourage reading.

Send us your words of encouragement and prayers to sendnotes@profe-aguirre.org

To support our school, we have the following four easy ways you can donate.

I care and beautify my educational center

The environmental education has always been a very important topic in the schools since it is worrying how the planet is being deteriorated and how it suffers. We need to encourage the care of Mother Earth.

Our School facilitates teaching and promotion of the culture of caring, cleaning and protecting our premises, especially because we are fortunate to have 7.4 acres (2.1 hectares) of green area where students learn about the importance of having beautiful, clean and healthy surroundings.

We believe that at the school we can promote these values of respect to the natural resources. In this year we have already started giving talks so that both students and teachers get involved in the great work of protection and care for Nature.

At the same time, we are holding school’s cleaning days where the whole educational community gets involved. As a Baptist School, we are “fruiting for God”, as our slogan states.

Labor Day

Since its foundation, the Baptist School in La Concepcion has provided quality education to children and youth from the municipality and surroundings, forming them with Christian and civic values to promote the development of responsible citizens in society.

Teachers and administrative staff are in charge of this work, which we recognize especially during this month when we celebrate Labor’s Day. Each one of them has shown their leadership in the classroom, their creativity and talents so every student learns through experiences that will help them in their daily life.

Even with the pandemics and other crisis, every worker of this school has done their best so that the boys, girls and youth have a quality education. Their work, sacrifice and dedication are most essential during this journey.

We thank and congratulate all the School’s staff and also all of you who support this educational center.

Nicaraguan Mother's Day

Every day should be dedicated to Moms. They, who have been chosen by God to give birth, are worthy of congratulations every moment. May 30 is the day when we can take advantage of and shower them with more phrases and actions that reflect our love for them. Our Moms, especially our School’s, have a very special place in every one of us.

Words or presents are not enough to recognize the work of the mothers at home. Many of them, even in the most difficult situations, shape the character of all their children with inconditional love and full of femenine intuition, give us their years and experiences. With the passage of time, they wear away but always have enough strength to get up every morning and prepare our present so that their children are worthy citizens of society.

Also we celebrate our female teachers who teach us the necessary knowledge to become successful professionals. In each classroom where there is a female teacher, we should feel proud to have a second mother who will help us to face our academic challenges and who will kindly lend an ear when we need to express our worries because a teacher means to be a counselor, a friend, a mother to children and youth who need love.

Happy Mother’s Day!

In contact with nature through photographs

Teachers and parents of the School are promoting this month the contact with nature and our students’ creativity through a photography contest. Through capturing images of flowers and plants, we form in our students awareness of environment, since they are the main agents who promote in their families and friends the importance of having a culture of the environment.

In God we place our trust.
